The main October 2026 campaign compares six routers on eight boards with fixed placement and a 1,200-second routing limit. Separate 25-board and PCBWorld comparisons retain their own rules and provenance.
Methodology
KiCad measures remaining connections and added design-rule errors on returned boards, alongside vias, track length and elapsed time. The eight-board campaign applies published benchmark rules; the 25-board comparison uses each design’s rules. Koppar is both evaluator and a competing vendor; completion does not establish electrical quality.
