Bridle built chairs with ChatGPT and Mistral. Other participants took up the experiment with Claude in Tokyo and Grok in Amsterdam. The essay describes which pieces fit, which frames needed bracing and what the chairs felt like to sit on.
Methodology
Builders described their materials, discussed a plan with a model and tried it in the workshop. A design that sounded plausible could still fail when its parts were cut and joined. People used different materials, tools and carpentry skills. The observations are qualitative, and the essay gives exact model versions for only some builds.
